Electric Vehicle Energy Taskforce report to be launched on Tuesday January 14
The Electric Vehicle Energy Taskforce will launch the report “Energising Our Electric Vehicle Transition” on Tuesday January 14 in central London. The Taskforce is the widest collaboration between the energy supply, transport and mobility sectors along with government.
It has been facilitated by the LowCVP, at the request of government, to maximise the benefits arising from the electric vehicle transition for motorists, the energy industry and wider society by capitalising on innovations including smart charging. Delegate bookings are now being taken for the event. (Click here to book.)
The formation of the Electric Vehicle Energy Taskforce was announced at the Prime Minister’s Zero Emission Vehicle Summit in September 2018.
The launch event - which will take place at One Birdcage Walk, Westminster from 2pm on 14 January - will provide an opportunity to hear from Taskforce leaders, government and industry stakeholders about the opportunities arising from the electric vehicle transition and how the changes will impact on energy consumers, drivers, businesses and the wider energy system. The Taskforce is chaired by Philip New, Chief Executive of the Energy Systems Catapult.
